WRITING WITH VISION & PASSION

Laurie Cooper has worked as a professional writer for over 25 years.  Laurie has written for radio, television, magazines and newspapers on a range of subjects - from volcanoes to vols au vent, from bumbershoots to blackjack.

Laurie started as a writer/editor for CBC Radio in Yellowknife, moved into television and video production in Regina, Calgary and Vancouver, then returned to her CBC roots to work as a writer/producer for the national network radio program, “Gabereau”.

In addition to her media work, Laurie completed a Master of Science degree at the University of British Columbia where she copyedited a book and produced a documentary about the Fraser River for Knowledge Network.
